How to Store Your Sprayer in the Off-Season (Prevent Freeze Damage)

What causes this: Water left inside a sprayer expands when it freezes and can crack the tank, pump, wand, or internal components. Freeze damage is not covered by the warranty. A few minutes of preparation protects the sprayer through the off-season.

How to fix it:

1. Never store the sprayer with chemicals in any part of it. Empty the tank and rinse the tank, pump, hose, wand, and nozzle with clean water after the last use of the season.
2. Drain the rinse water fully and let the sprayer dry.
3. Store the sprayer indoors in a warm, dry, dust-free location, out of direct sunlight and away from moisture or intense heat.
4. Do not store the sprayer where temperatures drop below freezing (32 F / 0 C). Water freezing inside the sprayer can damage components and voids the sprayer warranty.
5. Battery-powered sprayers: charge the power wand sprayer at least once every 3 months while it is not in use. This preserves the internal lithium-ion battery.
