Cart Sprayer Is Difficult to Pump (Manual Pump)

Applies to: Handy Cart Sprayer, 3 gallon wheeled cart sprayer sold under the Scotts and Roundup names (manual 184328). Some models have a manual pump, some have the Pump Zero rechargeable electric pump; the article says which.

What causes this: The piston O-ring is dry or damaged.

How to fix it:

1. Lubricate the pump as described in the Maintenance section of the manual.
2. If the piston O-ring is damaged, replace the pump.
