Power Wand Sprayer Turns On But Will Not Spray

Modified on Tue, 15 Sep at 6:19 AM

Applies to: 2 Gallon Lithium-ion Power Wand Tank Sprayer. The same sprayer is sold as CRAFTSMAN (CMXCAFG190788), Scotts (190803), and Roundup (190789).

What causes this: The tank may be empty, the nozzle may be clogged, the pump may not be primed, the hose may not be connected, or the power wand sprayer may be internally clogged.

How to fix it:

  1. Check the liquid level in the tank. If empty, add liquid. See Filling the Sprayer.
  2. Clean the nozzle. See Nozzle Maintenance.
  3. Allow at least 30 seconds for the pump to prime.
  4. Confirm the hose is fully connected to the power wand sprayer. Press the trigger to prime. See Attaching the Hose Assembly to the Power Wand Sprayer.
  5. If none of the above resolves the issue, the power wand sprayer is clogged internally. Replace the power wand sprayer.
