Sprayer Material Overflows Through Pump Barrel or Pump Handle Rises (183078)

Applies to: Professional 2 Gal Manual Pump Sprayer (Manual No. 183078)

What causes this: Dirt or debris under the check valve on the pump, or a chipped/torn/swollen pump check valve (Kit #8).

How to fix it:

1. Release all pressure from the tank.
2. Unscrew and remove the pump assembly.
3. Clean the check valve (Kit #8) and its sealing surface on the pump with clean water.
4. If the check valve is chipped, torn, or swollen, replace it as described in the Pump Disassembly and Reassembly section using Kit #8.
5. Reassemble and test with plain water.
