Applies to: All FGI sprayers, both in-house brands (Smith, Field King, Indian, Grab & Go, Burgess) and licensed brands (Craftsman, DeWalt, Black+Decker, Scotts, Roundup)
What causes this: Most warranty claims and replacement requests require proof that you bought the sprayer and when. The purchase date sets your warranty start date, so we need it before we can process a claim. Customers often ask what we accept and how to send it. This article answers both.
How to fix it:
- Find any document that shows the product, the purchase date, and the retailer. Any one of these works: a store receipt, an online order confirmation, a packing slip, a credit card or bank statement line showing the retailer and date, or a screenshot of your order history from the retailer's website or app.
- Make sure the proof clearly shows the date of purchase and that the item is an FGI sprayer or sprayer part. The warranty period is measured from this date. If the receipt lists a generic SKU, add a note telling us which sprayer it is.
- Send it to customer service. Email a clear photo, scan, or screenshot to info@thefgi.com, or reply to your existing claim email with the file attached. You can also call 1-800-311-9903 if you need help.
- Include your sprayer model number with the proof. The model number is printed on a label on the tank, the pump, or the manual (for example DXSP190681, CMXCAFG190640, 190567). This lets us match your proof to the right product and warranty terms.
- If you no longer have proof of purchase, contact us anyway at info@thefgi.com or 1-800-311-9903. Depending on the brand and how long you have owned the sprayer, we may still be able to help using the date code on the product or other details.
