Pump Does Not Fully Prime (DXSP190681)

Applies to: DEWALT 4 Gallon Lithium-ion Powered Backpack Sprayer (Model DXSP190681)

What causes this: Low liquid level, pump ran dry before refilling, chemical residue in the tank or pump, or a missing/damaged in-tank filter letting debris into the pump.

How to fix it:

1. Add liquid to the tank. See Filling the Sprayer.
2. Turn the sprayer off and squeeze the shut-off lever until all pressure is relieved.
3. Clean the sprayer. See Cleaning. If needed, repeat with warm water and mild detergent, let the mixture sit in the pump for up to 1 hour, then rinse. Replace the pump if necessary.
4. Inspect the in-tank filter. Reinstall or replace it if missing or damaged to prevent debris from entering the pump.
