Power Wand Sprayer Shuts Off Abruptly

Modified on Tue, 15 Sep at 6:19 AM

Applies to: 2 Gallon Lithium-ion Power Wand Tank Sprayer. The same sprayer is sold as CRAFTSMAN (CMXCAFG190788), Scotts (190803), and Roundup (190789).

What causes this: The power wand sprayer has reached its maximum thermal limit, or the battery is depleted. The sprayer is designed to shut off abruptly when the charge is depleted to maximize battery life.

How to fix it:

  1. If the sprayer has been in continuous use, allow it to cool before turning it back on.
  2. Plug in the power wand sprayer to charge. Allow it to charge fully before the next use.
  3. Avoid long continuous spray sessions to prevent thermal shutdown.
