Sprayer Is Difficult to Pump (183078)

Applies to: Professional 2 Gal Manual Pump Sprayer (Manual No. 183078)

What causes this: A damaged piston O-ring, or a dry piston O-ring (Kit #8).

How to fix it:

1. Release all pressure from the tank.
2. Unscrew and remove the pump assembly.
3. Inspect the piston O-ring. If damaged, replace it as described in the Pump Disassembly and Reassembly section using Kit #8.
4. If the O-ring is intact but dry, lubricate it with petroleum jelly.
5. Reassemble the pump and test. O-rings should be cleaned and lubricated at least once per season.
