Pump Does Not Fully Prime (190723)

Applies to: Lesco S2E-V 2 Gallon Lithium-ion Variable-Flow Backpack Sprayer (Model 190723)

What causes this: The liquid level may be low, the pump may have run dry, chemical residue may be built up from improper cleaning, or the in-tank filter may be damaged or missing allowing debris into the pump.

How to fix it:

1. Check the liquid level in the tank. Add liquid if low. See Filling the Sprayer.
2. If the pump ran dry, turn the sprayer OFF and squeeze the shut-off lever until all pressure is relieved before restarting.
3. Clean the sprayer. See Cleaning. If needed, repeat with a warm water and mild detergent mixture. Allow the mixture to sit in the pump for up to 1 hour, then rinse. Replace the pump if necessary.
4. Inspect the in-tank filter. Confirm it is installed correctly and not damaged. Replace if missing or damaged.
5. If the pump still will not prime, replace the pump.
