How to File a Warranty Claim

Modified on Tue, 15 Sep at 6:20 AM

Applies to: All FGI sprayers, including in-house brands (Smith), licensed brands (Craftsman, DeWalt), retailer house brands (HDX, LESCO), Universal replacement parts, and white-label brands

What causes this: If your sprayer is defective and within the warranty period, you may be eligible for a return or replacement. To process your warranty claim quickly, our team needs a few pieces of information up front.

How to fix it:

  1. Email customer service at info@thefgi.com or call 1-800-311-9903 to start your claim. Mention you are requesting an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
  2. Provide a copy of your receipt or proof of purchase showing the date of purchase. The warranty period starts from this date.
  3. Identify your sprayer model number. The model number is printed on a label on the tank, the pump, or the manual (e.g., DXSP190681, CMXCAFG190640, 190567).
  4. Tell us what chemicals were used in the sprayer. Some warranty claims may be affected by chemical compatibility.
  5. Confirm whether the sprayer has been thoroughly cleaned. Chemical buildup inside the pump can cause issues that look like defects but are actually a maintenance issue.
  6. Once we receive these details, we will issue an RMA number and instructions for returning the unit, or send a replacement if eligible.
  7. If your warranty has expired, call us at 1-800-311-9903 for replacement part availability and pricing.
