What causes this: The battery pack may not be inserted in the charger correctly, the charger may not be plugged in, or the surrounding air temperature may be too hot or too cold.
How to fix it:
- Insert the battery pack into the charger until the red (charging) light illuminates.
- Ensure the charger is plugged into a working outlet.
- Move the battery pack to a surrounding air temperature of above 40 degrees F (4.5 degrees C) or below 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).
