Sprayer Will Not Build Pressure

Applies to: Smith Performance S103EX Stainless Steel Compression Sprayer (Model 190468), acetone compatible

What causes this: The pump cup may be dry or damaged, the hose clamps may be loose, or an O-ring may be missing or damaged.

How to fix it:

1. Lubricate the pump cup with a few drops of the included silicone oil. Pump the handle several times to distribute.
2. Inspect the pump cup for wear, cracks, or damage. Replace if worn using Smith Performance Pump Repair Kit #11 (includes acetone-compatible seals).
3. Check all hose clamps and tighten as needed.
4. Inspect O-rings at the pump, hose, and shut-off connections. Replace any that are missing, cracked, or deformed.
5. Re-test by pumping 20 to 25 strokes with the tank about half full of water.
