Valve Body Leaking at Pack Nut (M200AT)

Modified on Tue, 15 Sep at 6:21 AM

Applies to: Smith Performance M200AT Dripless Acetone Sprayer (Model 190485), acetone compatible with dripless valve

What causes this: The pack nut on the dripless valve body may have loosened with use, or the internal O-ring may be worn.

How to fix it:

  1. Depressurize the tank fully.
  2. Tighten the pack nut by hand first, then with a wrench just past hand-tight. Do not overtighten.
  3. If leaking continues, disassemble the valve body and inspect the pack nut O-ring.
  4. Replace the O-ring using the M200AT Shut-Off Repair Kit.
  5. Reassemble and test with clean water.
