Strap or Frame Discomfort / Damage

Applies to: Smith Performance S2E-V 2 Gallon Battery Powered Backpack Sprayer (Model 184883-B)

What causes this: The padded straps may be adjusted incorrectly, or the frame or straps may be damaged from heavy use or age.

How to fix it:

1. Adjust the shoulder straps so the weight rests on your hips, not just your shoulders.
2. If the sprayer has a waist belt, buckle and tighten it to transfer weight to the hips.
3. Inspect straps and buckles for cuts, fraying, or broken hardware. Replace worn straps.
4. Inspect the frame for cracks. A cracked frame must be replaced for safety.
5. Keep the sprayer clean and store in a dry area to prolong strap and frame life.
