Battery Runtime Is Short

Applies to: Smith Performance S2E-V 2 Gallon Battery Powered Backpack Sprayer (Model 184883-B)

What causes this: The battery may be aged, partially charged, damaged, or the sprayer may be running at a high flow setting drawing more power.

How to fix it:

1. Fully charge the battery before use. When the red charging light is solid (not blinking), the battery is full.
2. Check the flow control dial. Higher settings use more power; lower settings extend runtime.
3. Inspect the battery for damage or swelling. Replace if damaged.
4. Aged batteries (several years old with many charge cycles) may need replacement.
5. For extended use, keep a second fully-charged battery on hand.
