Charger LED Indicates a Fault

Applies to: Smith Performance S2E-V 2 Gallon Battery Powered Backpack Sprayer (Model 184883-B)

What causes this: The charger LED signals battery status. A blinking red light may indicate charging, a problem with the battery, or a temperature fault.

How to fix it:

1. Refer to the charger label for LED meanings: continuous red = charging; solid green = fully charged; rapid blinking = battery fault; alternating red/green = temperature delay.
2. For a temperature delay, allow the battery to reach room temperature and charging will resume automatically.
3. For a battery fault, try a different compatible battery. If the fault persists with multiple batteries, the charger may be damaged.
4. Do not use a damaged charger or battery. Contact The Fountainhead Group for replacement.
5. Use only DEWALT-compatible or specified replacement batteries and chargers.
